Tawaki recovering in care at Christchurch Wildlife Hospital

Post by Michael Szabo »

Big shout out to wildlife vet Pauline Howard at Christchurch Wildlife Hospital from Gerry McSweeney at Wilderness Lodge Lake Moeraki, who reports:

"Wildlife Vet Pauline Howard has completed her surgery on the injured Tawaki found on the West Coast near Wilderness Lodge Lake Moeraki. The video show that it recovers fast and just how many pilchards/herrings a small penguin can eat."

Pauline is one of the wildlife vets who helped care for the Adelie Penguin that was found at Birdlings Flat last month.
