Aussie Influx

Postby Wrybill » Wed Apr 26, 2023 5:00 pm

It seems that we Have a Bit of an Aussie Influx

Australasian little grebe: Pharazyn Reserve, Muddy Creek.

Hardhead: Wakapuaka Settling Ponds.

Little Egret: Manawatu Estuary, Te Anau Lake, Waipapa Point, Ashley Estuary, Stewart Island. One Possible seen at Waikanae/Ohau Estuaries

Whiskered Tern: Pukorokoro/MIranda.

Australian Gull Billed tern: Manawatu Estuary, Motueka sandspit one long-staying bird plus one new bird One Possible at Katihiku Estuary But Unlikely

Cattle Egret: Not really an influx as they are a yearly migrant but I will put them in because they had a good breeding year in Aussie. Otago Peninsula, Waikuku

Let's Hope we get some more rarities.
