Had a brief visit to Hardings road sewage ponds Blenheim yesterday. 200 plus Royal spoonbill preparing for nesting in ngaio trees plus 1 white heron and 12 coots. Numerous swans, duck, Canadian geese and gulls.
1 Glossy ibis spotted on weekend on a wetland end of Dillons Point road.

Hi there, It would appear that the RSB continues to flourish throughout NZ. I heard that there was a breeding colony up the Waiuku river near the steel mill. Does anyone know more specifics on the location? Cheers
