The last big storm wrecked scores of seabirds on the Wairarapa, Kapiti and Wellington coasts - here's hoping that doesn't happen again but please be on the lookout for grounded seabirds in the aftermath of this category 3 tropical cyclone which is approaching NZ from the north and report any you see to DOC and local bird care hospitals:
