This guy decided that resting in the middle of Tamaki Drive during rush hour traffic was a good place for a break from a stormy day. Luckily I had my dog cage in the wagon which he gladly sat in whilst being transported to my vet. They're keeping him overnight for observation then I plan to send him to the bird sanctuary for a rest and some food before releasing him.

Here is the booby, post rescue, thanks to Sheila (for the rescue and photo).
Unfortunately the bird apparently died the next day at the vets. Hopefully it made it to a museum from there.
