Brown Booby Plucked from Peak Hour Traffic Tamaki Drive

Post by Sheini »

This guy decided that resting in the middle of Tamaki Drive during rush hour traffic was a good place for a break from a stormy day. Luckily I had my dog cage in the wagon which he gladly sat in whilst being transported to my vet. They're keeping him overnight for observation then I plan to send him to the bird sanctuary for a rest and some food before releasing him.

I have a couple of photos but unsure of how to upload them.

Unfortunately the bird apparently died the next day at the vets. Hopefully it made it to a museum from there.
