Rook at Pokeno

Hi everyone,
Saw a single rook today near Pokeno, in South Auckland /North Waikato.

No black kite though

Still a great bird to get that far north. Well done Liam. Was it just flying by the highway? Any notes on behaviour appreciated.

It was flying north along the highway, and was directly above our car. After a few seconds, long enough for me to realise it wasn't a kite, harrier or falcon, he flew west I think. No calls heard.
